In the fall of 2022, work began converting three large group instruction (LGI) spaces into regular classrooms at an estimated cost of $125,000. These LGI spaces were adjacent to corridors and lacked barriers, causing disruptions in the spaces between periods and also limiting their use to meeting educational programming needs.
Increasing enrollment spurred the need for more classroom space. The project entails building floor-to-ceiling walls, including sound proofing and minor mechanical, electrical and plumbing work. Completion is expected in the spring of 2023.
