• About the bidding process

    State College Area School District Board of School Directors invites the submission of bids and proposals when requested and within the guidelines specified in the bid request or request for proposal (RFP). Bid requests and requests for proposals will be posted here as appropriate.

    State College Area School District (SCASD) reserves the right to:

    • Make all decisions regarding bids/proposals, including, without limitation, the right to decide whether a bid/proposal does or does not substantially comply with the requirements of the RFP or request for bid.
    • Accept, reject, or negotiate modifications in any terms of Supplier’s bids/proposals or any parts thereof.
    • Reject any or all bids/proposals received.
    • Waive any irregularity or technicality within a Supplier’s bid/proposal.

    SCASD shall not be responsible for any cost incurred by the Supplier in the preparation of any bid/proposal. It must be specifically understood that a bid request/RFP does not create any obligation on the part of the district to enter into any contract or undertake any financial obligation with respect to the requirement referred to therein. Any Supplier who expends time or money prior to award, does so at the Supplier’s own risk and expense. The Supplier understands that, if selected, SCASD reserves the right to provide its opinion publicly and privately regarding the Supplier’s performance.
