    The State College Area School District is governed by a nine-member Board of School Directors. Each board member is elected for a four-year term of office. The board meets on the first and third Monday of each month. Additional meetings and work sessions are advertised in the local media.

    Attend Board Meetings
    The public is invited to attend all regular meetings and work sessions. Time is provided at the beginning of every meeting for public comment. Information about the meetings is also available from the Office of the Superintendent at 814-231-1016.

    Location for Board of School Directors Meetings
    The Board has moved its meeting location for the 2021-2022 academic year to the College Township Municipal Building, 1481 E College Ave, State College, PA 16801. All meetings will be held at 7:00 p.m. The meetings will be a hybrid combination of remote and in-person. Space limitations allow for 20 members of the general public. Those who wish to attend in person must register in advance via the link associated with each meeting

    Right-to-Know Law
    Effective January 1, 2009, the State College Area School District has adopted a right to know policy, Policy 801 Public Records, in compliance with the Pennsylvania Right To Know Law (Act 3 of 2008). This provides for clear procedures for community members to obtain public records.  Click here for more information.

    August 1, 15, and 29 (three meetings due to Labor Day)
