The mission of Family and Consumer Sciences is to prepare students for competence in the important, challenging, and ever-changing work of the family. Our aim is to strengthen families by empowering individuals to take action for the well being of themselves and others in the home, workplace, community, and world.
Our curriculum focuses on improving the students' skills in these areas:
- safe, proper handling of food
- basic and more technical cooking skills
- menu planning
- savvy shopping
- sewing basics
- careers in FCS
