Hello Ferguson Township 4th and 5th Grade Families!

I am excited to announce that Ferguson Choir will begin soon, on Friday, Dec 9th (Day 1).

Please note that rehearsals will ALWAYS be on Cycle Day 1 (not the day of the week), so any weather cancelations will alter rehearsal dates.

We will rehearse BEFORE SCHOOL in the MUSIC CLASSROOM this year, starting promptly at 7:25 am and end at 8:05 am, at which time all students will go directly to their homeroom classes.

Families will be responsible for bringing students to school. Please drop your child off at the side door (entrance #3) near the music classroom no earlier than 7:15 am. Mrs. Herbst or I will be there to let your child in, so please wait to leave to make sure your child has been let inside. *If you arrive after 7:25, you will need to drop your child off at the office.

I am very excited to share this important musical experience and hope that your child will participate.

There are no auditions, all are welcome. Students who are in the band or orchestra can also choose to participate in choir. In fact, many do both!!

Please complete the attached form (link below) to sign up your child! All forms need to be completed by Wed., Dec 7th.  If you have any questions, or need help troubleshooting transportation issues, please do not hesitate to contact me, Nancy Youmans via email:

During choir we will learn how to use and care for our singing voices, gain experience working together to achieve excellence in music, and take on new musical challenges such as reading music and singing in harmony. Most importantly, participating in the choir gives students a chance to experience the joy of making music through song!
