It is important that meals served at school are healthful. One of the hardest jobs the food service department has is to match students’ taste preferences with the Dietary Guidelines for Healthy Americans. But, that is exactly what we do. Menus are planned to meet USDA’s goals for key nutrients and to include whole grains, fruits, vegetables, lean meat and low-fat milk.
