If you would prefer to pay for your child's yearbook via check/cash, please send in an envelope with "Yearbook Order - Child's Name" written on the front. Checks can be made out to Gray's Woods PTO in the amount of $24.

* Elementary Cycle Days
Elementary specials’ cycle days can be found on our district's calendar by clicking here.
Additionally, you can see the cycle days on the calendar feature of our App, which is available in the Apple Store or Google Play by searching for “SCASD.”
We will be updating the SCASD calendar with the specials’ cycle days for the upcoming week each Friday. When there is inclement weather, the calendar will be updated to reflect the correct specials’ cycle day.

Student Column is Moving up the Ranks
Sam Rockmore isn’t shy about expressing his opinions in the Park Forest Middle School newspaper. Take his takedown of Skittles, for instance, placed next-to-last and dismissed as “fake M&Ms” in his January column: “These are like raisin cookies … Skittles are a crime against humanity.”

Lit Fest, at Mount Nittany Elementary School, showcases a variety of literacy skills needed across our diverse community and encourages reading, writing, listening, and storytelling.

Board of Directors Approves New Superintendent
On Monday, March 13, the State College Area School District Board of Directors unanimously approved Curtis Johnson to be the next SCASD superintendent. Johnson had been serving as interim superintendent for the past 10 months.

Highlighting Black History Month Events
To help commemorate Black History Month, Jeremy Bullock shared not only the stories of an athlete and an astronaut, but also a bit of his own. Bullock, a Penn State senior, recently visited Corl Street Elementary for the district’s African American Read-In program, a February tradition.
