Pennsylvania School Climate Survey

To gather stakeholders' perceptions of our district's climate and overall safety, the State College Area School District administers the Pennsylvania School Climate Survey to students, faculty, staff, parents, and community members. The survey includes baseline data from Oct. of 2022 and a follow-up in Nov. of 2023. The PA School Climate Survey results provide the district with both formative and summative perception data for short- and long-term planning. The survey focused on domains that disaggregate data for social-emotional learning, student support, and a safe and respectful school climate. The district also added specific survey questions that targeted goals found within the comprehensive plan. The presentation below will provide an overview of the results from the climate survey as well as initial data on the specific questions focused on the comprehensive plan.
