CAC for Facilities

The purpose of the Citizens Advisory Committee for Facilities is to advise the Board on matters related to facility development including the acquisition and disposition of facility sites, the planning, programming, design, construction, evaluations, and ultimate disposal of facilities and their sites, the selection of personnel and firms for these purposes, and other related matters.

Committee members should be persons willing to work toward problem solving through consensus.

The Facilities Committee is a standing and continuing advisory group to the Board. The Facilities Committee meets monthly and annually reviews its charge and establishes its meeting dates. It may receive specific requests from the Board for study. It shall decide on terms of membership and establish its bylaws.

The Facilities Committee conducts its scheduled meetings and report its minutes, recommendations, and perspectives to the Board. The superintendent acts as liaison with the Board. The committee identifies local community agencies and institutions whose activities are related to or impinge on the committee’s mission and arranges strategies for the purposes of sharing information vital to the committee’s mission and coordinating activities of mutual interest.
