The board's plan for the future of the high school is outlined on the pages of this Web site. We hope you find the information helpful.

    The State High Facilities Project
The vision for the State College Area School District is to ensure that students acquire the academic, technical, and life skills necessary to enhance and fully develop their unique capabilities and to provide facilities that adequately support multidimensional educational programs and services. In support of this vision, and after studying various options for renovation/building and input from the Citizens Advisory Committee, the public, staff, and students, the board decided to create a centralized campus by consolidating all grades in the North building through renovating (40%) and adding new construction (60%).

    Project Process
The Board of School Directors is guided by a 10-15 year District Wide Master Plan to upgrade all school facilities. Already completed are three elementary schools, Easterly Parkway Elementary, Gray's Woods, and Park Forest. The high school is the next priority. After that, the remaining elementary schools (Boalsburg-Panorama, Houserville-Lemont, Ferguson Township, Corl Street, Radio Park), as well as the Fairmount Avenue building, Memorial Field, and Nittany Avenue administrative offices need to be addressed. The Board has consistently balanced the educational needs of the high school project with the financial interests of the community, especially in view of the remaining districtwide master plan for elementary facilities renovation yet to be funded.
