Hi! My Name is Miss Kelly Huntington. My students often call me---Miss H. I am the English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher for Park Forest Elementary. This will be my 16th year teaching ESL/ELD. I live in State College with my chihuahua, Oscar Diego.

    Background:

I grew up in a town called Ridgewood, which is located in Northern New Jersey. All through grade school I played sports, enjoyed art, and participated in the school band. I then attended Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania. I earned a history degree and also received a elementary teaching certificate. I also studied in Sydney, Australia. I enjoyed living and studying in a unique culture. After graduating college, I moved to State College to hopefully start teaching elementary children. While looking for employment, I started taking graduate courses that specialized in teaching ELs. I was very lucky to be offered a ESOL teaching job in State College Area School District. Now as an ESL teacher, I have earned a Masters degree in TESOL (Teachers of English to Students of Other Languages). I continue to learn new information about teaching English Learners. I am very excited to meet and work with all of my students!
