Board of Directors Meetings

  • Regular meetings will be held on the first and third Mondays of the month (except where noted) at 7:00 p.m. in the Boardroom of the Panorama Village Administration Building, 240 Villa Crest Drive, State College, PA 16801. The meetings will be a hybrid combination of remote and in-person.  Remote access can be obtained with the link noted with each meeting.

    Committee of the Whole (first monthly meeting)

    During the first meeting, the Board’s Finance and Audit, Facilities and Grounds, and Culture, Climate and Learning committees will meet consecutively for up to 30 minutes each. Each committee will discuss its information items in the presence of the entire board. This will replace the present system of day-time committee meetings. After the committee discussions, the board will vote on routine and action items.

    Regular Meeting (second monthly meeting)

    At the second regular meeting, the Board will first vote on agenda action items. Then it will hear updates about district initiatives and programs. 

    Committee Meetings

    The Board Policy Development Committee will continue to meet on the third Tuesday of each month until the policy backlog is met.  These meetings will be held in the Boardroom of the Panorama Village Administration Building, 240 Villa Crest Drive, State College, PA 16801. The meetings will be a hybrid combination of remote and in-person. Remote access can be obtained with the link noted with each meeting.

    Public Comment

    • Thirty minutes will be provided at the beginning of the meeting. If additional time is necessary, the board may consider reopening public comment after board business is completed or during the next meeting. See Policies 006 and 903.
    • Each individual will be limited to comments of up to three minutes as time permits for items related to board business that are not on the action items portion of the agenda. For action items, public comment will be held just prior to voting on that item as required by the school code. This approach also allows for comments to be informed by the presentation and Board’s discussion of the respective item.

    Public Information

    • Regular board meetings will be recorded through Zoom and broadcast live through CNET as well as on their normal schedule.
    • Participants will use the raise hand feature in Zoom to provide public comment; you will not appear on video.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    When will I be able to join the Zoom Webinar?
    The virtual meeting room will open thirty minutes prior to the start of the meeting.

    Will remote board meetings be available on C-Net?
    Yes, C-Net will air the meeting live in the Zoom format on Channel 98 and through their YouTube live stream.

    How will public comment be received?
    During times of public comment, audience members connected through Zoom will have an opportunity to raise their hand, signaling that they would like to provide comments. The meeting host will acknowledge each person with their hand raised, and they will be able to address the board verbally for the allotted time.

    I am concerned about privacy. Will the board be able to see me during the meeting?
    During the meeting you will be able to see and hear the board. However, they will not be able to see you and will only hear you if you have raised your hand and are acknowledged by the meeting host.
