    Districtwide Revamping of Sixth Grade

    What emerged after much discussion and planning was a major revamping of sixth grade. Like their older counterparts, sixth-graders now have alternating A and B schedule days with six team core classes instead of four, all designed to improve learning experiences.

    Hispanic Heritage Month

    In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, Mount Nittany Elementary librarians recently used a special “traveling suitcase” from the University of Florida to turn their library’s Cultural Corner into a display of books and artifacts celebrating Latin American people and cultures.

    Students Lead Effort to Urge Safe Gun Storage

    September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, but a Delta Program student group already was trying to protect youth this summer by finishing a successful campaign supported by county commissioners and local police to inform families about safe gun storage in homes.
