Inside the World Café

As a Penn State music education student 15 years ago, Meredith LeRoy was among PIM’s first conductors in 2007 during her senior year. Now, coming full circle this fall, she watched her daughter in the orchestra, bringing back memories of her conducting experience.

Library Partnership Receives Commendation
A partnership between SCASD and Schlow Library can now call itself a nationally-recognized success. The All Ready Access/Schlow-to-School Program, which provides library cards to all students and allows them to have books delivered to schools, recently received a commendation.

New Director of Equity, Inclusivity and Belonging
On Monday, Nov. 7, the State College Area School District Board of Directors approved Tonya Black to be the district’s second director of equity, inclusivity and belonging. A longtime educator, Black brings 27 years of varied experiences in the district to the position.
