Discussion regarding the Elementary School Project – May 31^st, 7pm , All Purpose Room

 Updates:

Shoparoo: 40 supporters, raised almost $200. Keep snapping pictures of your receipts! Gas, Groceries, Liquor stores give the most points.

Shade Tree Project: Thanks to the amazing and generous Kindergarten students’ families, we raised enough money to plant three 16 foot trees. Trees will be planted on May 20^th. Congrats!

Box Tops: Raised about $2,276. Keep clipping!

Giant: $1880 – we were the 2^nd highest earning school. Keep Shopping!

Pride Stride – Logistics are all set. Hoping for no rain. Pledge forms are due on 5/20. Information on the website regarding what times each grade will be running. [Update - rained out, pushed to May 27th]

Book Exchange  - Wednesday June 8^th. There will be a two week collection period. Will be looking for volunteers to sort books the night before.

Author Illustration – Everything set straight, looking forward to next week. Already making plans for next year.

Friendship Night – 6:30 – 9:30. Will be watching Inside Out. Bring chairs, blankets, utensils, drinks, etc. Please bring a dish to share. We will have an allergy friendly table.

Rummage Sale – Thanks to Kelly Walker for organizing it! We experienced low traffic this year, probably because of the beautiful weather that Saturday! May need to reassess on whether we have this next year.

PTO Activities -  Need to reassess all programs/fundraisers for next year and decide what to keep and what to omit.

Non-profit status – in process of becoming non-profit so donations and contributions can be a tax write off. May help with getting more donations in the future.

Last day of School Teacher Luncheon – 12:30 – 2pm. Sign up Genius will be going around for help. Discussion on possibly catering this year. Depends on amount raised by the Pride Stride.

Field trip funding – need to assess if the funding should come from PTO and/or from Student Activities fund. Will need to get an idea from all teachers of what types and when they would like to have their Field trips for next year.

Communications – Looking into a tool called My School Everywhere. Will streamline communications, directory, possible online donations, requesting volunteers. $400 annually but will be worth it.
