Behind in this generation

Stretching far and wide to keep up

The arms of the past pull me back

As I dash towards the future

I find myself stuck in the past

Though life is in the present

Trying to stop to catch my breath

But the pause of life is nonexistent

Life flows through time

From safety to danger

A point of relief to

Seconds from destruction

Seconds away from the crashing of worlds

Minutes away from the sun’s explosion

Hours away for the warmth of day
To become and icy blue wasteland

So far, time is not our friend

The farther we go, the more time is wasted
