LifeLink PSU at Giant Foods completed the Principals Challenge.
As reported on wearecentralpa.com
STATE COLLEGE, CENTRE COUNTY – LifeLink PSU recently won the Giant Foods A+ School Rewards Program Principal Challenge and $1,000 for their competition entry. They are one of only five programs selected out of more than 100 entries from Pennsylvania and Maryland.
LifeLink PSU’s winning submission was their parody of the song “Hey Baby” and their administrator, Dr. Sharon Salter, dressed in the District’s Little Lion costume, will sing this song to the Giant Foods’ State College manager John Martinez. Salter, along with LifeLink PSU students, completed this challenge at 10:00 a.m. on March 5 at the Giant Foods located in Northland Center.
To help participating schools earn more with A+ School Rewards, GIANT Food Stores laid down a challenge to principals. Principals were invited to tell A+ what they would do to earn triple A+ points for their school and to challenge their local GIANT store manager to complete the same task. The five most original and entertaining ideas were selected, which included LifeLink PSU.
The A+ School Rewards program allows local schools to earn cash for scholarships, computers, sports equipment, smart boards, field trips or any of their other educational needs. There is no limit to what schools can do with their A+ School Rewards, which are accrued with each purchase a customer makes using his or her Bonus Card. Last year, $3 million was donated to local schools participating in the A+ School Rewards program.
