  • PIAA, CLUB, & INTRAMURAL ATHLETICS UPDATE

On Thursday, Aug. 6, Governor Wolf shared at a press conference the opinion that he felt that no sports seasons should take place this fall.  The PIAA called for an emergency meeting late Thursday and again on Friday, Aug. 7, to discuss a possible direction for PIAA athletics. At this time, the PIAA has decided to delay the start of all fall sports by two weeks to Aug. 24 while PIAA staff requests to seek a dialogue with the governor.

More information will surface over these next several days and we will have more information and understanding (hopefully) in the days to come. Until then, SCASD PIAA, Club, and IM Athletic teams will not be starting on time. Thank you for your patience.

    Important Notes:

    • At this time, we are still permitted to offer optional, outdoor, out-of-season workouts for all of our teams

    • Please continue to monitor and follow all physical distancing guidelines and safety protocols

    • The SCASD sports physical deadline of 8/10 is no longer in effect. Families can submit physicals for all seasons (fall, winter, spring) at any time.

Please see our SCASD Athletics website for the latest news, information and updates.
